This website is operated by S.L. River Co Pty Ltd (ABN 73 663 038 186), trading as Cabanamate ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Your rights under the law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Using the site

You must be at least 18 or have a parent or guardian's permission to buy from us. You must give accurate details when you order. You must not misuse the site, attempt to damage or gain unauthorised access to it, or copy or scrape our content.

Products and information

We try to show our products accurately, but sizes, colours and packaging may look different on your screen. We may change or discontinue products without notice.

Prices, payment and tax

Prices are shown in AUD, USD or NZD depending on your location. Australian prices include GST. Prices may change without notice, but the price you pay is the price shown when you place your order. If a price or description is clearly wrong we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

Orders and cancellation

Your order confirmation email is not a guarantee of sale. We may accept or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order we will notify you and refund any payment. If you want to change or cancel an order, email us as soon as you can. We can only change an order before it is dispatched.

Promotions and discount codes

Discount codes have the conditions stated when they are offered, can usually be used once, cannot be exchanged for cash and can be withdrawn at any time. If a promotion conflicts with these terms, the promotion's conditions apply.

Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only. See our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you provide. We are not liable for delays caused by couriers, customs or events outside our control, but this does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Using your Cabanamate safely

Cabanamate mats are designed for recreational use on beaches, parks and other outdoor spaces. Use is at your own risk. Always secure umbrellas and poles firmly, take the mat down in strong winds, and do not use the mat or its pegs as a safety device or leave an erected umbrella unattended. Keep small parts away from young children. Follow the care and use instructions on the product page and packaging.

Intellectual property

Cabanamate is a registered trademark and our beach mat slit design has patent pending status in Australia and internationally. All graphics, logos, images, videos and text on this site belong to us (or their respective owners) and are protected by Australian and international copyright law. You may not use them without our written permission.

Website disclaimer

We take care with the information on this site, but we do not promise it is complete, current or suitable for your purposes. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from errors in, or reliance on, information on the site, or from links to third-party sites, which we do not control.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the section "Your rights under the law", we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or opportunity, or damage to goodwill arising from your use of the site or products. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited, at our choice, to replacing or repairing the goods, or paying the cost of replacing or repairing them.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for failing or delaying to perform our obligations because of events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, carrier or customs disruption, supply shortages, or internet or payment-system outages.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. This does not limit rights you have under mandatory consumer laws where you live.
