Scallop Drift Beach & Picnic Rug
Scallop Drift is a coastal print in soft pink, blue and brown, with a scalloped pattern that looks as good on a picnic lawn as it does on the sand.
The beach mat has a two-way zip slit that runs from the edge towards the centre. Set your umbrella or cabana up first, open the zip, fit the mat around the pole and close it again. When the shade moves, the mat moves with it, so you don’t need to lift the umbrella or leave the mat behind.

How to position your mat
- Fully unzip the outer zip puller.
- Place the mat around the umbrella pole, with the zip facing the direction the sun is setting.
- Seal the zips around the pole.
- Move the mat and the zip position to follow the shade.
How to fold your mat
- Lay the mat with the printed design facing down.
- Fold it in half from the right.
- Fold it in half again from the right.
- Fold the bottom third up towards the top.
- Starting from the bottom, roll it up.
- Wrap the straps around the rolled mat and secure the tabs to the buttons.
Common questions
How does the zip work?
Open the zip, fit the mat around the pole, then close it. When the shade moves, open the zip again and shift the mat with it.
Will sand stay off the mat?
The tight weave of the OEKO-TEX certified fabric means sand doesn’t get into the weave, so you can simply brush it off. The corner pockets also help weigh the mat down. Some sand will still find its way onto the mat, so we don’t promise a completely sand-free mat.
Is it waterproof?
It is water-resistant, so it handles damp sand and a splash, but it is not waterproof.
